Where'd Spring Go??

What was with that rain yesterday??  Followed by the cold wind?  I finally got around to turning Nikki out.  He hasn't been out since we've been home.  The cold, windy, weather turned him into a silly horse - he was jumping all over the place on the walk back to his paddock, scattering to the side, throwing his head up to look and listen.  Geez.  Thank goodness he has to snatch a bite of grass every few steps; its the only thing that slows him down. 

Farrier is coming today and I hope Nikki stands still.  Stormy and Flicka won't be any problem.  Nikki's going to get shoes on and hopefully, he'll leave them on.  We took them off awhile ago when he pulled them off within a couple of days of Nathan nailing them on.  We fixed up the fencing and put bell boots on him, all to no avail.  But, working without shoes eventually made his feet a little tender so we'll try it again today.  I have a feeling that Nikki's shoes are going to turn into quite the saga.
